All the news the New York Times "forgot" - to print

Polls and other like garbage...

"Huuummmmm.... poll numbers are down.... maybe I should call off the war....."

Lets see... If they had a popularity poll for president Lincoln during the civil war what would the numbers have been? Does/did it matter? Now?

Watching the news always makes me more of a Bush fan then anything else. With all his faults - pork spending, whatever spending, spending, spending in general - he's still a great president who is trying to steer America in the right direction. And all you complainers’ - the economy is the best it’s been since forever. So not all is doom and gloom.

I would like to be among the first to welcome Philosopher to the blogging world! Your logic is needed - and will be welcome. (lets see how long you'll be able to do it though...)

Good points Tash. As much as I hate the budget that Bush is proposing, and his infringements of civil liberties[the patriot act scares the jabbers out of me], I am glad he is a Godly man.

but I don't allow his Christianity to blind me to the things I think he is doing wrong. But you won't see me criticizing him long and loudly, for sure...

H.K.P. The poll never ends. IT JUST CHANGES.

RUSOMA: I agree with you on the patriot act - what’s going to happen when Hillary is in office and she has the powers that it brings with it... and don't get me started on the Rep.’s trying to abolish the filibuster...

NG. Wow. Amazing. I thought we both agreed that Hitler was bad but since you say that this is the only issue you agree with me... my I offer a "Hail!"

Philosopher: Always glad to help

Ok, it time to tell who I am. Here it is, I am a are species Homo sapiens (Latin for "wise man"): a bipedal primate of the superfamily Hominoidea. However, humans have an erect body carriage that frees their upper limbs for manipulating objects, and a highly developed brain capable of abstract reasoning, language, emotion, and introspection.

Like all primates, humans are inherently social; however the memetic ability of humans to learn via instruction rather than by imitation and the ability to use language to express feelings and share ideas, creates a developmental niche that they alone occupy. Thus, they create complex social structures composed of co-operating and competing groups ranging from nations down to families. Humans are the only species on earth who build fires, cook their food or clothe themselves. The trait of trying to understand and manipulate the world has led to the development of philosophy, technology and science. In addition, social norms, beliefs, art, religion, myths, rituals and values have each played a role in shaping humanity's culture and its environment.
Human curiosity and observation have led to a variety of explanations for consciousness and the relationship between mind and body:
• Psychology attempts to study the mind and behaviour from a scientific point of view;
• Spirituality contrasts the temporal or the worldly with perspectives on humans' ultimate nature;
• Religious perspectives emphasise a soul, qi or atman as the essence of being, and are often characterised by the belief in and worship of God.
• Philosophy attempts to fathom the depths of all these perspectives from a logical standpoint;

Also I currently live on planet earth though some say I came from Mars.

O.k. Tash, I guess we agree on two things, but don't push it. If we agree on anything else we might sound more like allies then enemies. (hehehe)

NG. I also beleve that Hillary would not make a good president. And that the world is round. Now I bet you would strongly disagree on those two!

Philo didn't give us a clue, he gave us another longwinded load of nothing. As you can tell, I am making it my personal mission to give him a hard time in blogland :-), and I don't even know who he is. Yay for the internet! Harrass complete strangers for fun!!!!!

Tash: (The only reason I'm saying this is because this is the first time I've been here and I checked the sidebar.) You like the Yankees too. They are my favorite also. I just noticed.

Anyway. I don't think a poll would have changed Lincolns mind at all. He was a very determined person and believed in what HE was doing. Not the polls. That's part of what made him a great president in my oppinion.

Al Jazeera (18) 24%

CBS (6) 8%
FOX (14) 19%

Total Votes: 74
