I almost got killed going boogie-boarding last week! Do you know why they call it a boogie-board? This could be because you look like a little bug that’s getting thrown around by the waves and was named this way in Hawaii( where they have 100 feet waves). The Hawaiians and there accent changed it from buggy-board to boogie-board, just a theory.

It's funny, prince c. but I was boogie-boarding and I almost got killed too (well, it was just the fact that I was fixing my goggles and for some reason didn't see or hear the wave coming, it swept me over making my boogie-board bong me on the head and threw me along the bottom of the ocean for 15 minutes. Very fun.

No, it's what we laid back New Englanders have to live with every day... the ocean. But your right, the picture could be of a tsunami and I just got knocked out and floated out to sea shortly after taking this shot. So maybe I just can’t remember…

The reason Rhode Islander’s love boogie boarding is this, it fun and dangerous, but it is nothing to the waves of some other places! There are risks in every sport and everything you do. But you can still love what you do.
